Torri del Benaco hotels

Torri del Benaco is a picturesque town of Lake Garda. Its castle and imposing walls are indication of its strategic importance as a military outpost and center of commerce since the days of ancient Rome. A lemon house from 1760 was built up against the southern side of the castle. Restored to its former glory, the lemon house of Torri on lake Garda is one of the few that is still fully functional on Lake Garda.
The castle is open to visitors and has an interesting museum dedicated to local traditions, especially olive growing, making wool yarn and textiles, carving wood, and extracting marble from local quarries (the red and yellow marble of Torri).

With its enchanting square, characteristic port, lakefront boulevard, and the historical town center with cafés, restaurants, and pizzerias, Torri del Benaco is a star of Lake Garda and visited each year by thousands of tourists who stay in one of the many accommodations available in hotels, apartments, holiday residences, camping grounds, and farm holiday establishments. The regatta, called Regata delle Bisse, is one of the rowing races in the championship of the bissa, a traditional Venetian rowboat. The championship winner receives the "Lake Flag" as a trophy.
