Vinitaly Verona from April 7th to 11th 2011

"Italian Bubbly" served for the 45th Vinitaly. Thanks to their international success, Italian wine exports have gradually increased despite the global economic crisis. To celebrate Italy's outstanding wines, Vinitaly in Verona has dedicated a special area featuring all types of sparkling wines - from the classic to the charmat method - for professionals in the sector who can sample the products and learn more about the areas that produce them.

This new project launched for the 45th Vinitaly dedicated to "Italian bubbly" presents production areas and wineries, provides information about the wine-making process, and offers sampling sessions by professional sommeliers featuring a wide range of sparkling wines, from the most famous labels to niche products made using the classic or charmat method.

An area set up between Pavilions 10 and 11 of the Verona Trade Fair will present the wines, wineries, and local areas, also through IT materials, to professionals in the sector (from 114 countries in the last edition of the exposition). Here they'll find out more about wine consortia and leading producers representing 18 regions and nearly 600 wineries that produce Italian sparkling wines that go well with many Italian and international dishes, from appetizers to dessert. This successful wine-making expertise is the result of passionate work and the awareness that Italian sparkling wines are unique, distinctive, and fully able to successfully compete on international markets, even against famous foreign products.
